disjaukifa #1 Posted December 8, 2009 Hey Guys, Just wondering if I got this for a good price considering its an R5 on the rarity guide here. I got Chip's Challenge in the Ridged format cartridge for 6.40, cartridge by itself, but its mint. Did I over pay? I'm hoping not. I'm also looking for the flat Chip's Challenge and have had no luck finding it so far . . . -Disjaukifa
EricDeLee #2 Posted December 8, 2009 Average price I believe. Not much goes into the price difference of the cart styles... at least not like Atari 2600 cart style differences. I have seen people grab boxed copies for $5 and some pay $10. It isn't that bad of a price. Collecting the flat/ridged games can be a bit of a challenge at times. Just keep looking or ask if others have a loose copy. One note... to change what I said above: Cart syle differences and their values change dramatically when certain carts are found in the very hard to find PCB styles. One difference that jumps to mind is Warbirds. There are reports of Telegames releasing it on the "Long Live the Lynx" black pcbs (See Smegs thread about cart styles). And there are other ones where Warbirds was released in the old flat black pcb style that Raiden and Fat Bobby are commonly seen it (again, see Smeg's list). Warbirds was obviously released as a curved cart for the regular release. The LLTL black cart adds about double the value ($25-35), and the older style of the flat black cart is worth around an even $50 from what I can see. Normal versions of Warbirds, only go for about $10-15 tops. When it comes to the Atari released Flat carts, ridged carts, and curved carts, there isn't much of a difference in value from what I have seen. Hardcore Lynx collectors will tell you what is harder to find, others will shrug at them. Even though the rarity is different, not much goes into it. Yeah I thought the different cartridge style would cost more, but still for my 6.40 is not bad for a used Lynx game. Also Chip's Challenge is my favorite game probably ever created, I just need to fine the flat cartridge version of it to complete my collection . . . -Disjaukifa

Did you get my PM on things? Just curious.

Did you get my PM on things? Just curious. Yes I did, working on a reply at the moment . If you have a spare of the flat chip's challenge, that would be awesome! Also if you have a list of duplicates you wouldn't mind parting with send me a list and I'm sure something could be worked out -Disjaukifa
