Skaarg #1 Posted December 8, 2009 Well I'm new here, but hope I'll be able to fit in fairly quickly. I'm just a 20 year old college student in the middle of Iowa who loves video game stuff older than him. Anyways for starters here's a picture of the main portion of my game room in my apartment. I'd say I'm very lucky to have an understanding girlfriend who doesn't kill me for what I've created. =P Things are a little messy right now though because I've run out of room, and asked for another cheap-o bookcase for christmas from my parents so hopefully after the holidays I'll get something even cooler set up. Although Atari and Coleco systems and games are very dear to me I do have one love that takes up a slightly bigger place in my heart and that is Mega Man. Currently I'm trying to get every US released game and I'm actually fairly close. The problem is finding good condition complete PC games. Let's get to the good stuff people around here will care about though! Systems: Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 400, Atari 600XL, Colecovision Coleco Adam with 2600 Expansion Module (I found this for only $30!) For a good majority (I'd say easily 95%) I've purchased by hunting around in shops and newspaper ads. It just seems buying online takes the fun out of the hunt sometimes. =P Anyways, thanks for looking! Skaarg
nonner242 #2 Posted December 8, 2009 Nice Collection! And Holy Mega-Man Stuff! Do you have Wiley Wars for the Genny? I know its not a Official Release here in the US, but its neat to see the US conversion, and to have MegaMan on a Sega system.
AtariLeaf #3 Posted December 8, 2009 Very nice collection. I laughed at the Adam needing two shelves to fit it all

Skaarg #5 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the comments! The Adam does indeed take up a lot of room, but it plays my Colecovision and 2600 games so it's nice. Soon I hope to have more space for systems so I can get my 5200 hooked up permanently. Do you have Wiley Wars for the Genny? I know its not a Official Release here in the US, but its neat to see the US conversion, and to have MegaMan on a Sega system. Yeah a person off another forum sold it to me for only $25 so I consider it a good bargain. As for other Mega Man games on SEGA systems the game gear game although not perfect was still pretty fun to play. Funny thing is that was actually a gift from a good friend which I value very much. The Saturn games (8 and X4) have been impossible for me to find in any shops so far unfortunately. Man, nice collection! Is that an Mega Man 9 Press Kit? Yep, managed to get one early this year as a "small" gift to myself with part of my tax return. So far I've still kept it sealed mainly because I've seen the contents of the CD-ROM, but some day I might want to see the cartridge. Hornpipe2 #8 Posted December 21, 2009 Nice collection, I like the assembled displays. My advice: start trolling CL / freecycle / etc. for a used bigger CRT TV! A collection like that needs a bigger TV to play it on : )

A collection like that needs a bigger TV to play it on : ) I agree that I need a bigger TV. I missed out on a big sale earlier this year when I was flat broke. A local shop was trying to get rid of their CRT TVs and I could have got a 27" for $30. Oh well maybe they'll do the sale again sometime or I'll get lucky on CL. Nice XEGS you have there, is that with or without a KB What XEGS? I was curious about that as well. <_<
