You know its really getting crazy with the damn prices these days. Everytime I see a new XBLA release I cringe when I see how many points they want me to spend on it.

I got it without even trying it because I love Qix.

It isn't a terrible game or anything, but certainly not enough there to justify the 800 points.

I should have waiting for a comp disk or for it to drop to 400 point.

I don't think it's bad by any means either but I wouldn't pay over $5 for it.

get the compilation that Taito put out some years back. I got it for 10 and qix is on it... now that was a good deal.. pay 800 points for just one game ... well that is a bit of a ripp off.....

the same for arkanoid and bustamove , bubble bobble etc

I absolutely love Qix, but in no way is it worth 800 points when I can fire up MAME anytime I want for free.

This is a new Qix. It is decent, but still not worth $10. No way. I've been playing it quiet a bit, but it seems VERY bare bones. 2 sectors you will blow through easily in 30 minutes. Then you've seen all there is to see. You can play online...but no-ones playing.

It sucks for me because I'm a huge Qix fan. I was hoping this would be great but I may still get it if the price drops.

Don't bother. Apparently this is another one of those games where you are only buying some of the game (Like Arknoid) Utter bullshit. If you want to unlock all 4 sectors you have to pony up more cash. This game, with all 4 sectors would have been worth only $5 total. Making people pay $10 for half a game then expecting them to pay more to get the entire game is ridiculous. (Even with 2 more sectors this game would still be a hour play through)I can't even recommend this garbage to HUGE Qix fans.

Yeah. All of Taito's DLC releases are like this. That's why I didn't even bother trying the demo.

 

I would direct Qix lovers to Taito Legends 1 and 2 on the PS2 as well as Qix Neo on the PS1.
