Atari,Heavy Sixer Joystick Question

Recommended Posts

I have a Question About the paint trim color of the heavy-sixer joystick.I have a mint Joystick that has the orange paint trim.I have a chance to get another Heavy-sixer joystick, but the trim paint is yellow. Both sticks have the springs and,the hex disc handel.Nether stick has the word top.Can some one please help me out here? Could one stick be from 78? From what I understand the heavy-sixer stick was made in 77 only. What is the true color of the 1977 joystick? any help would be great.Thanks.

I have two heavy sixer joysticks with hex discs from 1977 from my original system as a kid and the cross hair paint on both of mine are yellow/gold. It matches the band around the bezel as well. Doing a quick check, the color is even yellow on my 1977 box (with chess piece) in the picture as well. I can't say for sure if they did orange paint on them back then or not, by I can confirm that my system is all original from 1977 thanks to my grand parents keeping everything together and the paint is a goldish yellow color, not orange.
