I don't currently own any classic or retro game hardware but I've owned quite a few systems in my time:

Coleco Pong unit

Atari 2600

Atari 5200

NES

SNES

Atari Jaguar

3DO

Playstation 1

Nintendo 64

Original Gameboy

The only game hardware I currently own is a PS3 and a MAME cabinet that plays arcade, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Amiga, Atari 2600, and PC games.

Well, I posted pics of my current hardware in another thread, but I'll play here, too:

Used to own:

• TI-99/4A (with speech, joysticks and 1 cassette drive)

• Atari 800 (no idea if it worked, bought it at Goodwill)

• Nintendo Entertainment System (with Zapper and NES Advantage)

• Commodore 64C (with disk drive, monitor and printer)

• Game Boy Color (with some MadCatz accessories and a Pokémon carrying case)

• Sony PS One

• Sony PlayStation 2 (big, top-loading console, bought at a pawn shop)

Currently own:

• Sony PS2 Slim (with 2 wired guitar controllers, 1 wireless guitar, wireless drum kit and USB microphone)

• Game Boy Advance (with no battery door, lol)

• TI-99/4A (with speech, PEB ((with memory expansion, RS232 and disk drive w/disk controller)), modem, joysticks, printer and 2 cassette drives)

• ColecoVision (with Expansion #1 and Roller Controller)

• Intellivision (with IntelliVoice)

• Sony PlayStation model 5501 (with multitap)

• Sega Dreamcast (with fishing controller and light gun)

• Nintendo Entertainment System

• Sega Genesis

Not part of my "collection," but I still own them (for now)

• Sega Dreamcast, sports edition (black, with "Sega Sports" logo on lid and controller)

• Nintendo 64

Not as impressive as other lists, but I use each and every one of the systems in my "collection," and I only "collect" the ones I intend to use. ^_^

Things I used to have:

3 Nintendo frontloaders: The family unit sold when I was a kid, the poor black-painted machine that died the day I got it, and my old standby unit sold to a coworker a couple years back.

2 Model 2 Genesis & 1 model 2 Sega CD: The family unit one of my siblings later sold, and a genesis/CD combo I bought from a friend leaving for collage that died a few months after I got it.

Original Game Boy: Gave to a friend.

Original playstation: Gave to a friend.

Virtual Boy: Won in a contest, but gave to my brother (he was the reason I entered).

2 Dreamcasts: bought in screaming thriftstore deals ($10 for basic setup and $20 for one with games/accessories later that day). Gave 1 to a friend, sold the other to a co-worker.

Atari vader model: Never did work. Gave to local game store for parts.

Atari 5200 4 port: Sold after realizing how much hookups would cost. Never played it.

90s model simon: Quit working, but not sure what happened to it.

I'm being a bit generous on the 'used to have', as I don't really count in my head machines that I got in a dying state and replaced, machines I got specifically to give away, and childhood machines from before I got the final say in what happened to them.

People often look at my collection and are stunned by the amount of what I have, but this thread proves my usual reply: "actually, compared to people I know online, my collection is kinda modest." :-D

Currently (listing all, not just retro, sorry):

Atari Jaguar

NES (1 frontloader, 1 toploader)

SNES

Gamecube

Wii

Sega Master System

Sega Genesis (model 2)

Sega Saturn

Sega Dreamcast

Microsoft XBox

Microsoft XBox 360

NEC TurboGrafx-16

PS2 (1 fat, 1 slim)

GameBoy Advance

Used to own:

2600 (lost in house fire) =(

7800 (was actually step-brother's, but my dad divorced that woman, may have been a 5200, memory clouds with time passed)

NES Frontloader (Sold in garage sale when I got my TG-16 with all games and Nintendo Power issues, stupidity!)

Original Playstation (broke, would only play games upside down, tossed when got PS2 with backwards compatibility)

Pong Clone (Sold)

Various little LCD/LED handhelds (lost, broken, whatever)

Years back, my dad won a brand new 2600 and six games as a door prize at a grocery store grand opening. It went in the top of the closet (because we already had a 2600) and we were only allowed to have one of the games (don't know his reasoning on that). I chose Yar's Revenge. Don't know what ever happened to the 2600 or the other 5 games.

*edited, forgot Playstation on used to own

Sega Master System

Sega Genesis

Sega Saturn

Sega Dreamcast

Sega Game Gear

Not all that much I guess, compared to some in this thread.

Listed in the order in which I got it, I think. If the system had a pack-in game, it's listed here.

Owned in the past:

2600 Jr. (given to a friend years ago)

NES toaster with Power Pad and Zapper (SMB/DH/WCTM)

Genesis model 2 (with Sonic 2)

SNES (1-chip model with Killer Instinct)

PlayStation around the time it came with a Dual Shock

N64 with no pack-in

Another PlayStation, a PSOne

---this stuff was all pawned in 2001---

Dreamcast - only system I kept post-pawnshop.

PlayStation 2

GameCube

Xbox

Xbox 360 (original model with no HDMI, long since dead)

Wii

PS3

PS4

---from here on forward, I still have this hardware, except where noted---

Wii U

Xbox 360 model E

PS4 Pro

Genesis 2 VA4 / NES toaster / SNES Jr. - joined Atari Age around the same time

Saturn (no longer have)

Dreamcast (no longer have)

PC Engine CoreGrafx + SSDS3 (no longer have)

Switch (daugther's Christmas present this year)

Xbox One S

Genesis 1 VA2

SNES 1-Chip

The Genesis 2 and SNES Jr. are both gone now, too.

At my peak, I had around 50 Genesis games, mostly bought for 3 to 5 dollars a piece from a local Blockbuster at the end of the system's life. Now I'm mostly gaming on classic systems via flash carts.
