Are you new to the Xbox 360? Would you like more demos? Here you go.

Recommended Posts

When you turn on on your new Xbox 360 and look at the A to Z list of demos, you might be like I was and wonder what happened to some of the demos you heard about. Where are they?!! They may not be in the demo list on your Xbox 360, but they're not gone. They're here:

marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/catalog.aspx?d=8

You can find the demos you want and download them right to your Xbox 360 from the web site. (The demos don't seem to start downloading until you go to Active Downloads on your Xbox 360 or select something else to download from your Xbox 360.)

I just tried Pinball FX and it really does suck, like people said. I might be disappointed that Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection doesn't look as real as I hoped, but at least the pinball acts and 'feels' like a pinball.

The game actually got positive reviews from game sites and many people here on AA.

Thing is, yeah it does suck compared to Pinball Hall of Fame

I guess I read the wrong (or right) reviews:

Anything you read that supports your opinion is fine with me.

Just wanted to keep it real.

In other words, not everything you think sucks necessarily sucks, and not everyone stated it sucked. (Like you implied)

Don't believe me though.

Anyways, your opinion stated as fact aside. That is cool you can pull up old demos gone from the dashboard!! Good find.

People said it sucked. People said it didn't suck. I should have put the word some in front of people to be absolutely clear in my original post. I'm sure people who go crazy over generic table designs and don't care about how a real pinball bounces would love Pinball FX.

Tried a few other demos. One of those games was Defender and it was pretty good. They updated the look a bit without ruining it. Smash TV was fun, but it's too bad they didn't do anything to it. It would look great with updated graphics.

Or you could have simply said, "I thought it sucked"

Who cares what everyone else says?

Keep trying those demo's!!!

If you give me a bite of your pickled pig knuckle sandwich and I say "That sucks!" it means "I think it sucks." It doesn't mean your uncle thinks it sucks or the cashier down at Walmart thinks it sucks. And you don't need to use "in my humble opinion" because that makes you look like a wishy-washy titty boy.

I just tried the Alien Breed demo. Yuck. Too darn dark. I'd rather play Smash TV.

If you need me to waste my time digging up positive reviews for you to look at I will just because it's you.

But in the spirit of the season, and as a personal "gift" to me, I'll ask that you don't. Lots of folks don't think Pinball FX sucks, and I'm pretty sure you can take my word for it regardless what your uncle says.

I thought we moved past what other people thought? We were talking about me, glorious me. When I post what I think about a game, it's my opinion by default. Weasel words aren't needed. In this case, I say the ball doesn't act right. The physics are off. No one with working eyes should be able to argue, but no argument is needed since it's the facts as I see them (my opinion). If others don't agree, they can post their opinions, the facts as they see them. I'll still think they're wrong and that my facts are more facty than theirs.

They have... So to contradict your initial post, the game is GREAT, like people said. :)

I've downloaded the demo and hated it (I had played both Pinball Hall of Fame releases from the past several years prior to ever having tried Pinball FX).

I even gave it another go and downloaded and tried it a second time several months prior to the Williams Collection recieving an HD release on the 360 and PS3, and my opinion was no different. The HD graphics weren't enough to make up for how inferior it played compared to the Pinball Hall of Fame series for my personal taste. I felt like Pinball FX was fake videogame pinball, while I prefer the realism the Farsight developed titles attempt to provide through trying to replicate classic tables and accurate physics.

And now that the Williams Collection has a hd release, Pinball FX has nothing going for it. Maybe if I had tried Pinball FX before ever having played the Gottlieb and Williams Collections from FarSight Studios, perhaps I could've enjoyed it.

I think if you're a fan of videogame pinball, you can enjoy Pinball FX. If you're only interesting in simulating real pinball on your game console (As I am), I don't think there's much fun to be had with it when you have such excellent options as the Williams Collection available.
