Mendon #1 Posted December 23, 2009 After playing a couple games of live "1 vs 100" last night (which I recently just started playing and am quickly becoming addicted to!!), I decided to look around and see if there is anything else I've been missing or ignoring. For the first time, I went into the "Games on Demand" area. Nice selection of titles, and a couple I'd like to either play or re-play. But what is up with the pricing on these titles: $30 for CrackDown??? $30 for Assassins Creed??? $30 for Rainbow Six Vegas???? And on and on. All the games I listed can be bought new for about $20 from most brick & mortar stores and probably even much less used from GameStop or Play & Trade. In fact, the only game I noticed that is priced about the same as the physical copy was Viva Pinata. Games on Demand is a nice idea..... have an urge to play a particular game but don't want to drive to the store? MS to the rescue!!..... but there is no way I'd play/re-play these games at the prices MS is asking, even if it saves me running to the store, when I know I can get a physical copy of the title at a much cheaper price. Anyone know if Games on Demand has become popular and successful? Mendon
Lord Helmet #2 Posted December 23, 2009 I think that games on demand is a great idea, but they should be priced cheaper. I guess you're paying for the convenience of not having to go to the store to buy, or wait for Amazon or someone to ship it to you.
moycon #3 Posted December 23, 2009 It's funny, i was checking this out recently myself. Never paid much attention to the games on demand mainly because I have a bunch of games on disk i need to play!!! Crackdown is $19.99 on games on demand or it was a few weeks ago. Me personally I think that game is totally worth even $30, but yeah, it seems to me it's only $20 Along with a bunch of other games I was considering getting (Dead Space, Devil May Cry IV and Trivial Pursuit) All were $19.99 at that time. I did see some that were $29.99 (Too high) but there seemed to be a lot more priced at the $19.99 which I think is fine. Not sure how popular the service is though. +HammR25 #4 Posted December 23, 2009 They'd have to give me a significant discount to download one of those games.

Could have sworn when I was viewing the games that it was listed at $30, but tis my error. Mendon
