Atarifever #1 Posted December 26, 2009 I got a Yobo (FC game console is the name) for Christmas from my sister (I asked her for it). I wanted one because I'm not much of an NES fan, but wanted something to play the small handful of games I had from back when I had the system. However, once I got it and saw how compact it was, I thought it'd be a good system to bring with me when I'm on longer business trips. So, I figured I might build a small library for it, so I'm wondering what games work pretty alright with it. I searched the forums here, and all the Yobo threads just become big dumb fights, so I was wondering if I could just get a link to a list of which games are compatable (or a list of good ones off the top of somkeone's head). Thanks.
StoneAgeGamer #2 Posted December 27, 2009 Unfortunately its hard to know. Many of these systems, especially Yobos over the years have had their hardware changed to have better compatibility. So games that might not have worked on one years ago, may now work.
nathanallan #3 Posted December 27, 2009 My Yobo here has had an operation done to it; kind of on topic off topic, the board that the ports plug into appears to come from a different model and every precaution was taken to make it NOT break (but it did anyway)
Austin #4 Posted December 27, 2009 Check which model you have and find it on wikipedia. They have compatibility lists for each model on there. Generally, there's only a dozen games or so that just outright will not work, so overall, they have high compatibility rates. I've never had a specific problem with any one game, and I've just avoided any games that are on those lists.
Atarifever #5 Posted January 2, 2010 Okay, so it works fine with all the ones I have. I just started to play through Star Tropics on there again (I think both games are terribly overlooked), and I'm not noticing anything bad. All I am noticing is that the game plays the first time I insert the game, it takes up a really small amount of space, and my wife thinks it's cute. I'd call that a win.
