nathanallan #1 Posted December 27, 2009 So I got this Yobo NES player from the.golden.axe ( ) and it really looks liek the board that holds the controller ports comes from something else; the screw holes don't line up and I had to secure it in place. Is this common?

nathanallan #3 Posted December 28, 2009 I know, right?? Weird. It kind of looks like the board has been replaced as if the original one stopped working and they used whatever. The washer was in there before I got to it, I added the screw in the middle of the board, there was one screw on the left side, kind of wedging the board down. It's a lot more secure now. The reset button 'platform' is broken, so I am thinking about maybe taking these NES start/reset buttons (one piece, got them in a bundle long ago) and rebuilding the whole section. Why mess with a Yobo? Why not? Nathan

nathanallan #5 Posted December 28, 2009 They might be on the underside of one of the boards. Has to be something doing the processing. I didn't take it totally apart, just what I took a pic of.
godslabrat #6 Posted December 28, 2009 I'm under the impression that these famiclones are under constant revision in order to make them cheaper to build. If so, maybe there was a period where Yobo was having to assemble circuit boards in mismatched cases. Just a thought...

Yes, the NOAC is under the cartridge slot if I remember correctly.
