spookt #4 Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) Happy New Year to all A special thanks to everyone who is still actively supporting the Atari. You know who you are and if I made a list I would only forget someone. 2009 has been a good Atari year for new hardware and software - here's to an even better one in 2010! (and possibly to a pay rise so i can afford to buy the new stuff ) Edited December 31, 2009 by spookt

+therealbountybob #7 Posted December 31, 2009 Happy New Year to all at AtariAge. This forum has been a real lifesaver for me, and has re-kindled my interest in the Atari. Special thanks to all those who have helped people with programming questions (however basic :!: ) and those who have participated in the High Score Club and JellE for running it. Hopefully a few of you will return to/come and play next season; the end of season bonus round is open if you want to wet your feet. SOUNDS GREAT LOUD!!! I will have to check that out, just to see how they pulled it off. I like some stuff from both bands actually, so this one has potential for me. MEtalGuy66 #16 Posted January 1, 2010 Happy New Year! Heres a short slide-show for 130XE users.. (15 frames). 130XE Slide Show.zip Boot this ATR, go to BASIC, and run "D:MAIN.BAS"... Try this demo on a real 130XE with a REAL (commodore/magnavox) monitor using CHROMA/LUMA inputs.. Turn the brightness down and the contrast up.. This demo does not work without separate ANTIC/CPU access to extended RAM... It also doesnt look right on scan-doublers, or anything that doesnt do a true 1:1 frame-rate with the ATARI.. It DOES WORK with PAL and NTSC, and most video capture cards work fine with it.. It also works excellent in Atari800Win in either PAL or NTSC mode.. Albert #23 Posted January 2, 2010 It's still January 1st and just wanted to say Happy New Year to all the Atari 8-bit computer fans visiting AtariAge! It's remarkable to see so many people actively enjoying their Atari computers, to say nothing about all the great projects (hardware and software) that continue to be developed by Atari 8-bit fans. These machines are over 30 years old now (*gasp!*), yet you'd never know it given the extremely active fan base! My first computer was an Atari 800XL many years ago and I had more fun on that machine (as well as a souped-up 130XE I'd later use to run a large BBS) than any other computer since that time. The Atari 8-bit computer line will always be dear to my heart! Here's to another great decade of enjoyment from our beloved Atari 8-bit computers! ..Al
