CX-40 on the PC

Recommended Posts

Well, I don't actually own a Stelladaptor, so I can't speak from experience. But, since SMS/Genesis controllers are compatible with the 2600, I don't see why they wouldn't work with the Stelladaptor as well.

EDIT: One thing to keep in mind is that, since there is only one usable action button on the SMS/Genesis controllers when they are plugged into the 2600, that would also be the case when they are used with an adapter designed for 2600 controllers.

Any clue when the Atari Age store will be up and running again and I might be able to see what these cost and possibly order a couple?

I don't know. You might want to ask Albert.

Does it work with Sega Master System and Sega Genesis controllers as well?

I posted a review in my blog that covers this (short answer no).

Another option is to buy a CX-40 joystick that is modded to use a USB connection: Legacy Consumer Electronics.
Sweet. Now, if they only offered a USB paddle controller as well...

That would be cool, though the Stelladaptor works well with paddles.

You can use your parallel port and $4.00 worth of wires and DB25 and DB9 jacks from Radio Shack and build your own, and then use PPjoy drivers.
