+atari2600land
Let's take for example MotoRodeo for 2600. It said that hundreds of boxed copies were found in Venezuela, but still lists the price as $50 for a loose copy. I've seen other interesting prices which I would definitely not pay, and still others I think are too low. So, how dependable is DP?
iwan-iwanowitsch-goratschin
They have to put some work into the price guide! They haven´t updated it for years! So it´s not that reliable at the moment..........
phaxda
Not very accurate. I discount at least 20% from any of those 2600 prices, even more these days. They tend to be very high.
VectorGamer
What about the prices listed on rarityguide.com? They seem pretty high IMHO.

BenG76
I tend to look at recent completed auctions on Ebay if I want to know what something will sell for. This can vary greatly at times though.
ericwierson
I found this http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/ Thanks for the great link. I have'nt seen that site before. Do you know if those prices are loose or CIBs?
+save2600
Thanks for the great link. I have'nt seen that site before. Do you know if those prices are loose or CIBs? I'd guess loose, but Montezuma's Revenge for $109?!?! That sounds like a boxed copy laced in gold to me.... lol
TI99Kitty
I wouldn't depend on DP's rarity/price guide too much. After all, they've still got "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" listed as "Rumor Mill." Guess that means the copy I bought in 2007 with two controllers must be worth a fortune! ^_~ ETA: It's still a decent place to start, but as others have said, looking at what similar items have sold for on eBay is probably going to be a better indicator of what people are willing to pay for it. shadow460
I think completed listings is probably a better indicator of price. It's too bad there's not a standard, though. You can go from place to place and see something like Pitfall! range anywhere from $1 to $13 plus shipping.
