Shawn #3 Posted January 8, 2010 JESSES!!! Yep, they are pretty hard to come by. I gave my last one to a fellow collector who was completing his Xonox set. I bet these caps are about the rarest part of any of the Xonox double ender games. If you don't have a cap it's not complete!!
Rick Weis #4 Posted January 8, 2010 If you don't have a cap it's not complete!! you are correct! Rick

jahfish #7 Posted January 10, 2010 were they ever available in the US? afaik those caps were only used on ghost manor / spikes peak in the PAL box. i bought a huge box of games back in 2000 with many many brand new xonox games, and gm/sp was the only game that had the cap. so far i've never seen the caps anywhere else ... The only XONOX title I have that has an end cap for the cart is also Spike's Peak/Ghost Manor (NTSC). The other thing about that title is that the color of the font on the spine of the box is silver, not white like the rest of the XONOX boxes I have. Tempest #15 Posted January 11, 2010 I know I have one somewhere, I'll have to check when I get home. I was shocked when I found it on my cart because I don't remember ever buying one with it on. Tempest

I purchased Ghost Manor/Spikes Peak brand new from a local store here in MN (USA)back in 84 or so and it did NOT have end caps. I'm not saying they all came without them, just saying the one I purchased had no caps. I remember getting one from atari2600.com a few years ago that had caps and I though "WTF are these?" I'm not saying they all came without them, just saying the one I purchased had no caps. I remember getting one from atari2600.com a few years ago that had caps and I though "WTF are these?" i traded a whole bunch of them to jerry G back in 2000 or 2001 after buying a huge box full of new games in germany, inclusing many many brand new xonox games... and only ghost manor had the cap. so it could be that it was actually one of my caps that u bought wasn't GM/SP the first xonox release? i think it was the only games sold with a cap. not a bad idea to cover the open end with a cap, but then again most people probably lost the cap after taking it on and off a few times ... that would be my guess why xonox stopped offering these ... or just one less complication in the production/packaging of the carts?
