d8thstar #1 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) hi all, next up on my lot sale, my 5200 4 port system (switchbox and p/s included) WITH box (the box is HUGE). in addition to the system, here is everything i have: 1 controller fully working 1 controller partially working 3 non working controllers i have no doubt that i can open and clean these, as i did the working controller, to get them working. but i'm sure any 5200 collector knows how to do this. 3 wico controllers, 2 of which have the cables to plug a 5200 controller into for the keypad. i have tested all 3 and they work just fine. 1 atari 2600 converter. this is untested as the 4 port i have seems to be one of the incompatible ones. 1 dual controller holder (holds two 5200 sticks for robotron, space dungeons and any other two stick games) 2 trackball controllers. one works perfectly, the other needs to be cleaned (works sometimes, hard button presses register) games included: star raiders, complete in box kangaroo (2) q*bert (torn label) space dungeon frogger 2 pengo keystone kapers congo bongo (writing on label) in addition to, i have a stack of manuals and some overlays that i'm throwing in. i'm asking for $150 for everything plus $40 shipping. that 5200 box is huge and with the weight of this package, it'll be pricey to ship. please PM any questions. i'll see if i can find some time to start cleaning controllers and what not but as it stands, this is the condition everything is in Edited January 23, 2010 by d8thstar
brojamfootball #2 Posted January 14, 2010 What is this, "sell your kickass 5200 lot week" or something? If only Wicos would become available when I have cashola...
nonner242 #3 Posted January 14, 2010 OMG d8thstar, why do I have this weird feeling of wanting to thro more cash at you? You are becoming more expensive to know than my ex. I am really debating on getting on the 5200 wagon....Its the only Atari line I dont own. And being a "Completionist" doesn't help.
d8thstar #4 Posted January 14, 2010 hey nonner, you throw the cash, i ship the stuff you don't have a 5200? for some odd reason, it was always my favorite atari system. i think i'm putting a fare deal up here; i know those wico sticks can be pretty pricey (i'm starting to get PM'd to part them out). i'm sure i can make a lot more if a parted this stuff out but it's a bit of a hassle and i'd have 4 controllers to refurb/clean. so i'm just selling everything as described and cutting a deal. you pick this up and a multi cart from atari max and you'd be 5200 complete t OMG d8thstar, why do I have this weird feeling of wanting to thro more cash at you? d8thstar #6 Posted January 14, 2010 that's my thought exactly mirage. i know if i cleaned all the sticks and the trackballs, i could get $40 for the TB, another $40+ for the two wicos and pretty much make the money back. wait a sec? what the HELL am i doing?!?!? still up for grabs What the... nonner, that's a really good deal for all that, with the Wico sticks. Mirage #7 Posted January 14, 2010 Well, I don't know about quite $40 for a loose TrakBall, but somewhere around there, sure. Either way, when you consider it's only $150+ship for the lot, it's a chunk of it back. OTOH, you could be underestimating the value of the Wicos (I'm honestly not sure about that, I'm not a Wico price expert since I actually like the stock controllers!) +Ransom #10 Posted January 14, 2010 I wish I had the $190 to buy this or the time to sell it off as pieces parts after taking what I want. Whoever buys this, at least sell me a Y-cable!
phaxda #11 Posted January 17, 2010 My uncle loved the 2600 (and the tons of games i gave him to go with it!) but my wife is very unhappy. VERY unhappy. I have had to unload most of my Master System gear as a result, but I had fun playing the new games first. Free bump for the 5200 sale! thanks phil! no extra freebies this time though how did your uncle like the 2600 and how'd the wife take it? Wico controller: $30.
