Inky #1 Posted January 17, 2010 Fired up stella and loaded up Worm War I. Man, I forgetwhat a fun and challenging game this is. Sure it starts out slow, but when you get to higher levels, it becomes extremely challenging, what with the blocks making movements of your tank difficult. Also a bit of strategy... should I refuel or blow up the gas station to clear my path? Very very fun game. Who's with me?
shadow460 #2 Posted January 17, 2010 I never blow up the Pagodas. Fuel is just too valuable to lose.
zylon #3 Posted January 17, 2010 Great game, hate to fall behind on fuel though.

seanhq #7 Posted January 18, 2010 Wish it was paddle-based. Paddle based would be sweet but how would you speed up? Worm War 1 is a really fun game. I think I'll actually play a few rounds after my comment, so thanks for the suggestion As for it being paddle based and how would you speed up? Simple, you would use the Force Luke
video game addict #8 Posted January 18, 2010 Wish it was paddle-based. Paddle based would be sweet but how would you speed up? Hack it to use the footpedal controller on controller port 2.

tisaperfectdayelise #10 Posted January 19, 2010 I've always found this game to be one of the more underrated in the 2600 library. The graphics, speed, sounds...all quite good for the system. You're right about the challenge in strategizing. I'll have to play this one before work tonight
Kurisu #11 Posted January 20, 2010 I got the game in a bulk lot, and thought nothing of it. Fired it up, and was amazed. Such a nice game. Always hoping for fule instead of more worms.. hehe.

Gameplay can get pretty frantic later on in the game. Definitely a 2600 must have.
