Space Invaders cheat on Harmony

I don't suppose there's any way to do the Space Invaders trick when running it on a Harmony Cart?

(where you double your firepower by holding down the Reset switch when powering up the machine...)

Try Space Invaders Deluxe.

Immediately after you press fire to load the game from SD, hold reset and I'd expect that to work.

Just select Space Invaders with your joystick or the select switch then press and hold the reset switch. Works for me.

So joystick button followed quickly by holding reset. I will try that. I tried the reverse, I pressed reset first and then tried pressing the joystick button but that didn't work. In fact I found an undocumented feature of the Harmony cart by doing that. Pressing reset while a game is highlighted in the menu will load the game.

Just highlight Space Invaders with your joystick or the select switch then press and hold the reset switch. Works for me.

Ok, I verified Buzbard's suggestion tonight. Highlight Space Invaders (or one of it's hacks) in the menu, do NOT press the joystick button to load it. Instead, press and hold the reset switch. The game will load and if you keep holding the switch the cheat is enabled.

 

Or, as was suggested, you can play Space Invaders Deluxe which has double firepower enabled by default (but I like Space Invaders Arcade myself).
