Great read, I played the Dreamcast port of this game back in the day and it kicked all kinds of ass. I, too, remember groaning at the justified-by-the-story fog cover and the awful FMV character models, but overall it was a great game: every console Spider-Man game since has owed something to this esteemed classic.

 

In addition, this game more than any other media project before or since, absolutely nails Spider-Man's character (most importantly his sarcastic one-liners!), and to this day, I have never heard a better voice actor for the webhead. Tobey Maguire doesn't come close.
