Nice one,

add also info/photos of the tools used to make the lowered edge around the hole.

you can do that with a dremel and sanding cylinder.

What was the problem and how did it get fixed? I have an SIO2SD but since it is not yet in a case, I am afraid of using it.

my dad clean the contact in PCB, one contact was broken..

now, first part is finish and sio2sd working superb :)

the second part is about:

-switch - in the future i can connect XL12, or etc together..

-better stick of frame around sio2sd

-sio2sd sits in frame not current, maybe 1-3mm is out of ground.. (sorry for my english)

That looks great. Your dad's a real craftsman. I just can't get enough of photos of projects like this. It's making me want to get started fitting my SIO2IDE inside the Atari and drilling lots of holes for HDD activity lights, etc!

No problem with your English. :)

I don't know if you saw my SIO2SD inside an XM301, but I could have done with your father's skill when it came to the button mounts, etc. I too made new connections for LCD, buttons, etc, but not with such skill. Where is your dad getting his stand-offs from? I need to mount a board 1-2cm above the mainboard and I've been looking around for some spacers/pillars.
