knb023 #1 Posted February 2, 2010 Hello everyone,First post,Love the site... i just recently started my collection back up, i have a good bit of stuff but over the years my things started dissapearing, so the only system of the 2600 genre i still had was the JR. anyway...I just bought a 6 switch off of craigslist, I was under the impression it was a sunnyvalle. But when i got it home it was made for atari in taiwan. Its GREAT condition and came with 18 games and 3 controller and 4 paddles, oh and with the atari case station. I paid 60.. But my question is how much is the system alone worth? Being thats its not the Sunnyvalle console. Is the value a lot less? Any input is appreciated. Im thinking of reselling for a sunnyvalle. Thanks again

Thanks again I would say that the $60 you paid is okay especially if you are happy with the deal and it is in good condition. The value is whatever some else is will to pay for it. Six switchers probably go for between $25 and $75 on eBay.
knb023 #3 Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks I'm happy with the condition but wasn't sure if I was happy with the price because thought it was sunnyvalle.
seanhq #4 Posted February 2, 2010 $60.00 seems ok for what you got, even if it's not a Sunnyvale model. What 18 games came with the deal? It could be possible that some of those games are worth more then what you paid for the entire lot.
VectorGamer #5 Posted February 2, 2010 I believe the system (alone) is worth less than that. $10-$25...
Chris Leach #6 Posted February 2, 2010 Welcome to Atariage....I'm learning this is the only online forum for video game collectors to frequent....lots of activity and lots of great members.... Good find for another person jumping back into gaming. Don't forget about the marketplace forums. You can find lots of sweet deals and rare stuff there. knb023 #7 Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks again for the responses, the games are pretty much common games. Kaboom, frogger, PAC man, missle command, frogs and flies.. Etc...
VectorGamer #8 Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks again for the responses, the games are pretty much common games. Kaboom, frogger, PAC man, missle command, frogs and flies.. Etc... Pac-Man is worth 50 cents Frogger is around $3 If memory serves Missile Command is $1 I don't recall how much Kaboom or Frogs and Flies are.
zylon #9 Posted February 4, 2010 The taiwan sixers had a better switchboard but questionable motherboards. However, the ones made by Dimerco seem to be made well. You should be able to find a nice Sunnyvale for $30 or less if you're patient. I've seen at least 5 go cheaply in the last 2 months.
