VectorGamer #1 Posted February 2, 2010 "It’s a simple, really really low graphics game." This makes me laugh. If you were actually alive when this game hit the arcades in 1982, then you remember that what made this game stand out were the cartoon-like graphics. I have a feeling this person wasn't (alive or old enough in '82 to play an arcade cabinet) and it seems like those that haven't just don't get it... Outlaw on the Atari 2600: yes, low graphics... Galaxian in the arcade: no, graphics were nice and still are http://techbucketblog.com/www/2010/01/31/bump-n-jump/
+Ransom #2 Posted February 2, 2010 It’s fun for me, but definitely not for a modern gamer’s tastes. On a retro scale, this is as pretty simple as you can get. Anything further and you’re looking at text based MUDS. (Yes, I know MUDS!) Then where does Pong fall on "a retro scale"? Or for that matter, Combat? Or just about every game for the Odyssey, Odyssey 2, Channel F, and so on? These people are like movie reviewers who have seen nothing but big-budget Hollywood action flicks made in the last ten years. Show them Citizen Cane and it would be, "OMG! It's totally in black and white! And where's the explosions? Nothing happens in this movie because they didn't have CGI back then."
