King_Salamon #26 Posted February 9, 2010 I don't have anything against the authors of the 7800 emulators because they are easily good enough to play the back catalogue of games produced for the system. How long before they can't cope with new games that push the machine I can't predict . However, I'm sure we'll get close to a cycle accurate emulator in the future. I think the author of the ProSystem emu is working on a major rewrite. Also, Art Krewat seems to be taking in interest in updating the 7800 driver in MESS. So maybe 7800 emulation will be seeing some major updates in the not too distant future. I'm sure 7800 developers will appreciate that. Too vague...I dont even get it, and I know it! Its like saying "Hey man my house is next to the second dune in a desert somewhere out where eagles dare! She's fast enough for you old man. Mitch Mitch... be careful... your mentioning a reference to something I definitely know! I haven't seen the pics (I don't have one of those carts) but I think I know what one of the pics is/may be. What a piece of junk!
thursday83 #27 Posted February 17, 2010 I've downloaded the screen shots, or pics, whatever, I've looked at the hints, and the quotes, and nothing comes to mind for me. Did the slideshow on the ProSystem emu. I too am curious as to what this new game for the 7800 might be. Thanks, hope to hear something soon.

The G2F application is used on the A8s for producing data and code files that increase the number of colours on graphics screens. You can have 4 colour changes per horizontal scan line. I thought it would be good if the technique could also be used on the 7800 to make game title/high score/whatever pages more interesting/colourful. My interim utility takes the *.mic and *.col files produced by G2F and creates the files required to create the same picture on the 7800.
