JonnyBritish
I was looking at Atarimania and did a search for games written in Action!. This game called Star Fleet 1 is interesting as it is written in Action! and the IBMPC version was getting rave reviews. Anyone ever played it or seen the Action! source? Thorsten Günther
Peter Finzel also wrote his games in Action!, according to the description of the eBay auction where he sold is 800. Atarimania is understandably incomplete in that respect, since there is AFAIK no noticeable difference between compiled Action! and 6502 Assembler. Velcro_SP
I have this in shrink-wrapped new condition. I picked it up more than a year ago thinking it looked very strategic and interesting, but haven't played it yet. Did not know it was programmed in Action! How much do you think it'd go for on eBay? Velcro_SP
Interstel Corp. PO Box 57825 Webster, TX, 77598 (713) 486-4163 The box has some very light wear at the corners of a very minorly abraded appearance that I didn't know could occur through shrinkwrap. But it would seem to be the original shrinkwrap because there is a metallic gloss "Electronic Arts Distribution" sticker *on the shrinkwrap*. I should save this one to open on Christmas or Thanksgiving holidays to spend some time playing it. How much do you think it'd go for on eBay? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. So, just send it to me. I would not sell a copy in that condition for just about any price! Here's the R10 Cygnus version. Not too different.

Thorsten Günther
Labyrinth by Dave Oblad is another one. Hope I can add the link to Peter Finzel's games, too. EDIT: Wasn't possible on my post from Feb 8th, so I added the link here. Thorsten Edited February 13, 2010 by Thorsten Günther

+CharlieChaplin
hmm, I think some more games by Dave Oblad are written in Action. Maybe someone wants to check this (no need to search for the source, just read the information at the title page of each game): http://www.atari.fandal.cz/search.php?search=Dave+Oblad&butt_details_x=x or look here: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-beamatron_575.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-grabit_12153.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-labyrinth_2870.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-life_2978.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-matrix_3262.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-pirates-cove_3981.html (nowhere mentioned which pgm. language was used) http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-tricky-tracks_5499.html (nowhere mentioned which pgm. language was used) http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-wumpus-hunter_5868.html A programmer from eastern germany also did some commercial games in Action!, it was Maik Heinzig, then known as mhs (nowadays magnus-soft, I think)... see here: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-barkonid_2140.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-gigablast_2210.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-laser-robot_2906.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-monster-hunt_3489.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-monster-hunt-ii_6070.html http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-plot-s_4014.html And some games (and demos) by polish programmer/musician Jakub Husak were written in Action! language (only those, where He was the programmer), e.g. Duch, Helix, Rycerz and Starball amongst others: http://www.atari.fandal.cz/search.php?search=Jakub+husak&butt_details_x=x Last not least, here I attach all the Action! sources, magazines (german!) and tutorials I have. Star Fleet 1 Played it on my Atari ST's. Awesome game, played it over and over. Love the humorous text messages that are sent across your screen. There is a noticeable difference in graphics between the IBM and ST versions, at least.
