NES sells for 13k

What disturbs me about the headline is how it leads you to believe the system itself is worth big bucks. Only reading into the article, do you realize it was the cartridge they were after. With so much misinformation, poor grammar and general misuse of the english language, hard to believe a lot of these media types made it through college.

I don't know how that can be, because as I understand it, the box is the same for the PAL version... (?) That one is uncommon, but not nearly as rare. Maybe there is a sticker unique to NTSC version on the box? I know very little about NES at all, but that's what I read this morning. (Please someone who knows NES correct or clarify this).

speaking of boxes, i find them extremely rare... ive never seen an NES game box in my life.....

Yeah, I don't see too many either, but I've found several in the wild even (extreme commons though).
