Koopa64
It's because of that 13k NES that sold recently. No thanks to Yahoo and their hype machine. Too many idiots are listing their old Nintendo systems for thousands because they don't know how to read.
DeadlyDiskKun
@Koopa64 - Silly people, that don't actually know how to properly read an article... also they didn't notice it said original NES, not Super. Idiots. But yea, I love when people think their stuff is rare when its common as dirt.
AtariLeaf
It looks like it was purposeful because the price in the body of the ad states "$5,000" The fact that he put a comma after the "5" tells me it was purposeful and that he's also insane. carmel_andrews
I guess it might be a rare or proto super nes, or that one of the 2 games are rares, but i don't think so
retrorussell
This is ridiculous too.. Ebay NES game: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270531252093
SoulBlazer
This is ridiculous too.. Ebay NES game: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270531252093 I thought the PAL version of that was common?
Catsmasher
This is ridiculous too.. Ebay NES game: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270531252093 What is "ridiculous" about an ebay seller with a 100 percent rating placing a game for sale with a 99 cent starting price and no reserve, then over 33 people going online and bidding it up to a high price? Looks like the free market at work. Maybe video game collecting has evolved past the days of finding stuff at flea markets and Goodwill stores. It happens with a lot of hobbies. You either evolve with the market, adjust you expectations and goals, or find another hobby. I have been reading more and more threads complaining about prices and availability of games and systems. Did you think video game collecting would stay a flea market/garage sale type of activity forever? Face it, the bargins will always be getting harder and harder to find, and as much as we would like it, members of AtariAge do not set the value of video games, the free market does. shadow460
everyone's jumping on the bandwagon! http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/vgm/1600241253.html Wow, there is a "Super Nintendo" brand of the Nintendo Entertainment System? Where have I been hiding? Who is this "Super Nintendo" company that made clones of the NES and why did Nintendo not sue them for it? How many people does it take to sell a common video game for over a grand? The answer is evidently 38. One to post it on ebay and 37 to bid it up.
