Reaperman #1 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) No, they're not coin-operated and they're not really arcade machines, but I'm sure not the only person who's into pachinko, so let's see them. I first got hooked by this vintage 'New Vangard' by Daiichi. An inexpensive thrift shop find that only needed a minor unclogging and some electrical work. Could still use a cleaning I suppose. I've also spent quite some time debating the upgrade to a 'modern' machine, and this week I finally went for it by ordering a Tomb Raider. I can hardly wait for it to arrive. anybody else have some of these hiding around? Edited February 18, 2010 by Reaperman
RASK1904 #2 Posted February 18, 2010 I have an old one. Always loved them. Alot of my friends don't know what they are. I've always wanted one. Got my first one this year. Love it.It's an old Nishijin with one light and a bell.
BigO #3 Posted February 18, 2010 Was tempted to buy one at a thrift store the other day. It didn't have the half-million steel balls with it or I probably would have.

Mine pays out just 15 balls per pocket, so it doesn't run out terribly quickly. now the modern machines on the other hand... I have 1400 more balls on the way to me now for my new machine, but I think that without a lifter (which I don't have) I'll need a couple thousand or so more. I've heard my Tomb Raider is a bit on the stingy side, and that may help me out. Edited February 18, 2010 by Reaperman
Crazy Climber #5 Posted February 20, 2010 No pachinko's (yet) for me, I do have a Japanese Lord of the Rings Pachislo (slot machine) though
yuppicide #6 Posted February 22, 2010 I never really cared for it. Pinball owns Pachinko. I had an old machine that wasn't really worth anything.. was basically like your first picture. Needed restoration. I just don't see the fun in Pachinko. Ball goes up, ball goes down. No flippers or skill?
