AtariChick
What are your fav games for this system......they have to be young adult compatible, since it's for my 11 year old sis. thanks!
VidGameKing
normally I'd seggest all the FPS for the system cause i like FSPs but since it's fer yer sis, I'd seggest maybe Gadget Racers, Atari Anniversary Advance, Earthworm jim, bot harry potter games, and Pac-Man collection. Happy_Dude
Try Barbie Groovy games. But Atari Anniversary Advance would be my pick. and it really depends on what she likes....
Cupcakus
The new Yoshi game is Kid and Adult compatible... It really is tons of fun. I does get a little difficult near the end, but it's really simple for the most part. My 4 year old plays it (Albeit not very well) She'll enjoy it :-) (The greatest gift for any GBA user is a flash cart and programmer $~200 these days I think. Then you can play any game you want at any time)
z28in82
I was gonna saymaybe the e-reader thing, granted it is classic games but the reader is like 50 bucks but the games are $5-10 which should be fairly reasonable for her to buy with allowance and stuff, Just a thought. VidGameKing
I was gonna put the e-reader thing too, but the cards are too easy to loose and break. but other than that it'll be cool.
Cupcakus
E-Reader is really cool, however I don't think an 11 year old girl wants to play excitebike and DK, when her friends have Mary-Kate and ashley :-)
MegaManFan
Probably borderline to playing a more mature set of games (I'm sure some friends already are, with or without their parent's approval) but this is a list that should be a fine compromise between the two: * Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World * Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island * Breath of Fire (I + II) * Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts * Super Mario Kart * Mega Man Zero Plenty of action, adventure, and side-scrolling fun with no super gruesome violence or big FPS type shooting. Castlevania: SOTN might be good too if you have the Afterburner kit or a good light for your screen.
Mikau
for someone that young, get Yoshis Island. if they are young, they never got to enjoy tis classic peice of great platforming. the klonoa game on gba is pretty good too. also try golden sun, since its a pretty simple rpg thats easy to pick up and play. However anything Mario is a good bet.
MegaManFan
SGG and MMZ are SUPER difficult games, I get frustrated with them. I wouldn't recommend those. However anything Mario is a good bet. It depends on whether the kid enjoys a good challenge and can handle a little frustration or not. There are parts of Yoshi's Island that are EXTREMELY frustrating (both on SNES and the GBA port) especially if you want the perfect 100 score, but that's what keeps me coming back for more. NE146
Castlevania: SOTN might be good too if you have the Afterburner kit or a good light for your screen. heh you sure there's a Castlevania: SOTN for gba? I think you mean Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance However that game ends up looking not half bad on the GBA since they learned their lesson from the first GBA Castlevania game. (i.e. the screen is much brighter with more colors etc.). However, having said that of course ANY gba game would still benefit from a good light. King Atari
In a past issue of Game Inforemer, they said you could send your GBA to some company, and for like $25, they'll install a backlight into it. I'm this close to doing it *Pinches fingers together real close*.

sdstuff64
Thanks guys! that helps a lot. I think i'll get Yoshi Island...... Yea,it may be hard at some points but it is a very good game and I bet she will like it,it is my 12yr old sister's fav game!
Cupcakus
You can buy the afterburner kit from liksang (Altho I heard MicroSoft made them close down) which is an internal frontlight for the system. You have to install it yourself, or you can send your GBA to one of these, "places", that will install it for you.
Ze_ro
Lik Sang is back up... although they don't sell mod chips anymore, I'm sure you could still get the afterburner. So much for modding my Saturn... No Radiant Silvergun for me --Zero

z28in82
Granted it isn't for GBA, but Hamtaro, ham ham unite for GBC looks very cute and enjoyable for an 11 yr old, and is a lil cheaper, than most GBA games
NE146
if you're looking for playing imports, then alls you need is that cart in the back that doubles as extra ram (I think the one I got is called an ST-Key). But yeah, if you're looking at playing a copied R.S., then I guess you have to mod.
