toymailman #1 Posted February 28, 2010 I am again running out of room for my 2600 CIB collection. However, I will make room for my new Out of Control.
shadow460 #2 Posted February 28, 2010 If you don't have room to store those, you can send them to me. Call it "Project shadow's shelf full of carts, toymailman's wallet full of money". Kidding, but that's a nice accomplishment you have, especially CIB! I'm about to finish off all the retail North American Imagic games.

homerwannabee #4 Posted February 28, 2010 Oh, wow, that probably cost you anywhere from $2,000 to $2,500. Congrats on a game that is so hard to come by.

Shawn #7 Posted February 28, 2010 I'm about to finish off all the retail North American Imagic games. Talk of a bunch of loose commons has no place in a conversation about CIB rare sets. I am again running out of room for my 2600 CIB collection. However, I will make room for my new Out of Control. Awesome score dude. That section of the shelf is looking dead sexy!

+Omegamatrix #10 Posted February 28, 2010 Nice!! Is it in good shape? Hard box to come by, that's for sure. I think out of all the Avalon hill games, Death Trap is my favorite to play.

Who said anything about loose? If you don't like my posts, then don't read them. If your Imagic games are CIB thats good for you, they are still not worth mentioning in a conversation about a complete set of Avalon Hill (PS. pics or it didn't happen). This thread is about tmm completing a rare set of games, not you rambling about a dozen commons. Here is a list that will explain it in detail for you and a little picture CPUWIZ gave me that your posts often make me think of.

phaxda #16 Posted February 28, 2010 I would have preferred rainbows_and_unicorns, but that's just me. I have a couple of Imagic boxed games (Atlantis and Demon Attack) on eBay right now if anyone wants nice Imagic items.

Are you sure that he was trying to put boxed Imagic games on the same level of rarity scale? I think he was trying to relate that is all. Lets put this into perspective. If someone says in a thread that they have lost 150 pounds, is it disrespectful for someone to say well at the moment have lost 20 pounds myself? Or if someone says they just ran a mile under 6 minutes, is it wrong for another poster to say they just ran a mile in under 7 minutes themselves? In fact when is the last time you have seen someone post an accomplishment, and someone not chime in about something related that they were doing as well. It happens all the time.

Yep, thats one way to look at it. Or you could look at it as a fool trying to pretend his jank is in the same league or worth of compairison to real deal rares in a serious collectors stash. It's apples and firetrucks here friend, they both might be red but thats about all they got in common. Kinda like how a PS3 and a PSP are both made by Sony or a how Nintendo makes the Wii and the DS but one is a hand held and the other is a console and are not to be confused except by the foolish and desperate as a way to find themselves part of the conversation.

Shawn #20 Posted February 28, 2010 Again, totally sweet you finished Avalon Hill dude. That picture you posted is beautiful.
toymailman #21 Posted February 28, 2010 Thanks guys! It felt great to get this one. The box isn't perfect put turned out pretty good. The cart and manual look brand spanking new. Also, CPU is correct; it was a hair over $1k. I think this one tops my collection for price now. I think my next most valuable game is a flawless CIB Q*bert Qubes (guessing in the $600-$700ish range). I have the Avalon Hill games arranged next to the TigerVision ones. They each have colorful boxes with bold white lettering so they look good together. Now I just need a CIB River Patrol to make that shelf super-sexy.

If he was being mean or trying to make Toymailman look bad, I can understand, but he's not. BTW, I have complete in box for companies Mythicon and Playaround, which are the only ones I have complete.
