Any 9v DC power supply with 500 mA or higher capacity (I think as low as 300 mA would work) could have the proper 1/8" plug grafted on. I can vouch for the 300mA power supply myself, I used one for years on a Vader and a Woody. It's not worth the effort to make your own, really, not when you can get them so cheap.
