Colecovision Expansion Port Door Problem

The door on the expansion port of my CV seems to be stuck open. Is there something dumb I am missing to get this to close? I was like this when I bought it and I dont want to break anything

I've had that happen before...you just have to fiddle with it (try pushing in as you pull down on the door). Not much else you can do without opening up the console, which is a royal pain.

Yeah, a lot of them do that. The door just gets a little crooked/out of alignment (cheap parts and poor fit probably). I "fixed" mine with a bit of silicon spray, though I don't really open and close it very often.
