DaytonaUSA #1 Posted March 5, 2010 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110501811026 I love the description though. He's rightfully ticked off, but at the same time, unlike the other guy's auction, this guy never bothered to contact these guys when they bid to get a feel if their bids were serious or not. That does lead to a serious question though. What happens to a eBayer who bids on something then refused to bid on this? Do they lose their account of could he technically sue? I mean... that's $800,200 he owes him !
Dittohead Servbot #24 #2 Posted March 5, 2010 The seller says he won't accept any "yellow star bidders", yet the seller himself is a yellow star!!!
Tempest #3 Posted March 5, 2010 Really? The eight hundred thousand dollar bids were fake? Who could have guessed? Tempest
+Psionic #4 Posted March 5, 2010 This must be the fourth or fifth recent thread about Stadium Events (and no surprise with a title like that). http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/158915-another-stadium-events-is-over-100000/
SoulBlazer #5 Posted March 5, 2010 The seller is not helping himself any by not posting pics of the sides of the box (so we can see the seams) or by answering questions. That shrinkwrap is NOT real. I'd say the current bid of 10k is a good price for it.
figgler #6 Posted March 5, 2010 That shrinkwrap is NOT real. I agree and because of that I'd question what's actually inside the box also
darthkur #7 Posted March 5, 2010 That shrinkwrap is NOT real. I agree and because of that I'd question what's actually inside the box also Exactly. There easily could be one of these in there instead:
Chris Leach #8 Posted March 6, 2010 That shrinkwrap is NOT real. I agree and because of that I'd question what's actually inside the box also If it is indeed shrinkwrap affixed to that box with said hangtag, then the shrinkwrap itself is real? The H seal from Nintendo direct may not be present? Is this what the is not real part would be meaning? JK I know what was meant, but reading the post...do I not see shrinkwrap there? clearly a bunk auction, but who makes up a fake box for sale? Couldnt the box itself go for say a couple thousand? The sad thing is I've seen the game with box and manual but open go for far less than 10K. That shrink wrap, like said, is extremely fake. Anyone who's going to spend that much money on a collectible like this would hopefully at least know what it's supposed to look like.

SoulBlazer #12 Posted March 8, 2010 For some reason the auction that was mentioned in the OP thread was removed. I'm not sure why. The last time I had looked at it, it seemed to have legit bidders and was around 10k. We all know the shrinkwrap wasn't original, but 10k for a CIB copy of the game seemed right based on past auctions and the belief that only about 200 copies of the game are still out there. But his refusal to answer questions or post better pics made the whole thing suspecious. Either he decided it wasn't worth the hassle and removed the auction or it was a private sale. Now, this NEW one that just got linked -- there's only a couple pics, but it LOOKS like a legit sealed copy. If I was interested I'd ask for better up close pics to confirm that. Nothing wrong with the guy asking for 40k either. Someone might be stupid enough to just take him up on it. And he DOES have a 'best offer' button as well also. Assuming that's a legit sealed, around 30k seems to be a good price.
