Going diagonal in Stella

While working on my Video Pencil game (see the thread in the bB forum), the only diagonal direction I can make a line is up and right. I tried the same program with Z26 and I could make all four diagonal lines. So, there must be something wrong with emulating fire+diagonal directions in Stella (except for up+right).
