A Falcon caught in a Sparrow Case

Good News everyone!

 

I made some pics from my Falcon. Many years ago (more than i can count with my fingers...) i bought a Sparrow case at a Atari fair in Germany.

 

Since this time it was the new aerie for the Falcon.

 

As you can see, it is more dark and the slot for the floppy is the same as for the 1040ST.

Damn, USA one too? I can't even find a USA Falcon keyboard. I have been thinking of getting a 3D printer and then any old ST keyboard can be a Falcon / Sparrow keyboard. Though I have also debated looking into building a fully mechanical keyboard as well.

Is the fan at the bottom unique to sparrow or does Falcon have that also?

Falcon has a fan under the memory board. I disabled mine since it was loud and pointless.

Fair enough. the Mega STE PSU fan was also annoying.. i ended up replacing with a Noctua .. thanks for info!

Will do as soon as I'm back in Europe (a few months left...). In the meantime I just repeat my offer, I'm offering a Falcon keyboard (DE/UK/US variants available) for a Sparrow one. I remember seeing many Falcons offered on eBay with Sparrow keyboard, there must be one available somewhere. :-P
