Anyone ever heard of ENTERTAINMART?

Recommended Posts

I went on Sunday (just getting a chance to get on about it here) and the place is absolutely HUGE. It's the size of a walmart with nothing but games for any disk based system (I was surprised to not see too many carts, even for the DS), movies, posters and music.

They're new here, so prices are all over the place; I saw copies of games ranging within $30 between three copies; like there would be three copies of the same game, one was 29.99, 39.99 and then 49.99. Can't figure that one out, maybe they were running specials or something.

I managed to get some of the cheaper copies of a few titles I have been after for a while so not disappointed. Has anyone ever even heard of this place? I was told that the owners are relatives of the owner of CD Warehouse and a couple of other places, and that this is an exercise in teaching them the business.

So, teaching kids business takes several huge stores. I want to go to that school.

Yeah, it's founded by the guys that started CD Warehouse and Movie Trading Company before they sold each one off to be run directly into the ground. Entertainmart, to me, is off to a shitty start with its emphasis on carrying everything (used cell phones?), as there is little quality control in inventory and pricing. Some of their game prices are ridiculous, but that's to be expected when prices aren't determined by an educated staff, but rather general corporate guidelines.
