Pyromaniac605 #1 Posted March 12, 2010 I just recently hacked together a new power box for my A2600 and for a while it worked fine but just now about 10 mins ago i plugged in Threshold switched it on and... nothing i flicked the switches around a bit fiddled with all the plugs... nothing i desperatley tried all my games and nothing there does not appear to be anything wrong with the wiring of my hack-job power box. Pyromaniac605 #2 Posted March 12, 2010 Closer inspection revealed that the problem was crossed wires. -Darren-

A.J. Franzman #7 Posted March 13, 2010 Was not the problem now im gonna have to have my colecovision wasting space again just for A2600 games. I think I see some transference here. Anyway, if the wires of your power supply ever were reversed (either before you thought they were, or if you thought they were, then "corrected" them, then realized that you had been mistaken, and then put them back the right way...) you could very well have burned out the voltage regulator. Pyromaniac605 #8 Posted March 13, 2010 They were definitly the right way because it worked fine for a few days. -Darren-
Keatah #9 Posted March 15, 2010 Take it from the top and let's work this through.. did you build your own power supply? Or did you re-wire an existing 2600 power brick?
Pyromaniac605 #10 Posted March 16, 2010 I took a power supply that had 9V and 600mA and rewired a plug that will work i used a microphone jack because it was the same plug as the 2600 used. Also 600mA is ok according to Shawn Sr. -Darren-
