+DarkLord #1 Posted March 12, 2010 Anyone have any idea where the best place would be to get a 68000 socket? I don't need the 68000 chip itself, just a socket. Its a 64 pin socket, I believe. I wound up getting a couple of the different types from 2 different sources - Brad had 3 kinds at Best Electronics (Machine screw, Solder Tail, and the strips), I also picked up a handful of "low profile" sockets from Ebay. Looking for the smallest profile I can possibly find - its going into my STacy for a Fast Technology's (Jim Allen) T25 accelerator. The space around the CPU is *very* tight.
