The corner is crinkled slightly, so I'd say that that if you were to sell it, you'd have to pay THEM $50 to take it.

I know it has been explained before, but a few more details on a car boot show. I gather that people sell "goods" out of their trunk (isn't the hood of a car in England called a bonnet -- I love that, but I digress . . .). My question is do they pay to enter the place and have a space like flea market vendors do here and are there official places that will have such a sale every week or is it just random like a yard sale here. They sound great -- I want to see one :P

Kind of. Some guy hires (or already owns I guess :) a field and loads of people turn up with their cars full of old crap that they don't want. They then park up, open the boot (trunk), set up some tables and put all their stuff out for people to buy.

 

And yes, the correct name for the "hood" of a car is the bonnet :D

Depends on the individual sale. Some are free, some you have to pay for a place, some are regular, some are random.

 

They sound great -- I want to see one  :P  

 

Come to the UK then :-) All our eccentricities are great, with the possible exception football hooliganism :D
