Shephda #1 Posted March 21, 2010 Hello all, Spring here in SW Ohio brings the opening of the outdoor flea markets. This weekend I scored a few great deals. Picked up an jungle green, and an atomic blue N64 system. Complete sans box for $25 each. Also got a near perfect Threshold cart for the 2600, and a Artillery Duel\Chuck Norris 2600 cart. Both were $2 each. Found a few misc Coleco carts, and misc. hardware. I love spring!

turboStar #3 Posted March 26, 2010 Nice finds. I have never found atari in the wild. Never? Maybe I'm just an old fart, but 10-15 years ago I'd see 2600-5200 all over the place. I don't know how many Odysee's, Apple ]['s or Atari's I coulda scored.... DAMNIT!! I was just a dumb poor kid. Now its true- I rarely see them in the wild.

This week I found 2 Mini Super Nintendos (one complete the other just the console), pieced together a Sega Dreamcast for about $15, and scored a Super Arcade Stick for the SNES. Also found a few games here and there.
Atarian7 #6 Posted March 28, 2010 I haven't been to a retro gaming shop. I don't know if we have any in the area. Are there any national chains?
Eltigro #7 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm waiting until Summer to hit the local flea market. Being a teacher kinda makes it difficult to visit someplace that's only open during a weekday. Friday I saw a 2600 in a retro-gaming store, asked how much they wanted for it, and the guy said it wasn't for sale. He just had it in the shop as a display kind of thing and to have something for the "parents" to talk about. It was a really clean looking 4-switch.
Shephda #8 Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) My son and buddy hate me because I seem to fall into deals a lot. Sunday I went with the wife to look at some outside toys for kids, she cares for a toddler and wants some toys for him to play with this summer. So as we are looking in the lady's garage at kids toys I spy a Nintendo Power Set box in the corner. I ask her if that's for sale and she said sure. It was her kids and they are gone now. So I picked up the complete Nintendo Power Set CIB, a NES Advantage CIB, and 7 various games (outside of Dr. Mario nothing great but decent games) for $20. Think it's going to be a good summer!
