frogstar_robot #3 Posted March 21, 2010 http://gadgetgangste...?projectnum=236 I googled some efforts in a similar direction for POKEY: http://skrasoft.com/blog/?cat=12 Hook a POKEY up to an LPT port. This was originally for a DOS A8 emulator that didn't have sound support: http://www.hillsoftw...it/lptpokey.zip http://synthwise.com...ey-synth-module None of this is as well realized as multiple SID products have been. One of the issues is that the POKEY is more a low level digital sound generator than a generalized synth like SID is. Most of the work with a SID box is creating an interface to the chip with a minimal amount of effects logic. So the POKEY has to be coupled with a significant amount of logic and software to make a synth.
