You don't say where you are, if you are in the UK or Europe then 16/32 Systems are the best place to get games and homebrews from while if you are in North America then you can't go wrong with Songbird

The_Laird is correct, the true homebrews they may stock will be StarCats releases (JagMind/Bomd Squad, Ocean Depths and Lost Treasures) and Songbirds Protector but they also stock some semi-homebrews, unfinished/unreleased comersial production games that were subsequently found, finished then released like Soccer Kid and Skyhammer.

You can also try B & C Computer Visions for unfinished protos like Aircars, Verunas Forces and American Hero.

Also do a search on AA for Martian Attack, Frog Feast, Surrounded, Orion collection, Atomix and Jagmarble as these should result in topics many of which will contain links to downloads.

great list! If you think of any more please post them on this thread.

I can not think of any more that can be downloaded but there are also...

Semi-Homebrew (Unfinished Commersial games that were later finished and released):

Barkley Shut up and Jam - Cartridge (Basketball)

Brett Hull Hockey - Cartridge and then CD (as Jaguar Hockey)

Total Carnage - Cartridge

Unfinished Protos:

Demolition Man - CD (mostly film footage)

Arena Football - Cartridge

F1 Racer - CD (early version of World Tour racing)

Black Ice White Noise - CD (several revisons were released)

Phaze Zero - CD & Cartridge?

Pure user written Homebrew Games:

BattleSphere/BattleSphere Gold - Cartridge (try e-bay but very expencive at generally £300 and up)

Painter - CD then Cartridge

Mad Bodies - Cartridge

Ms Pacman - under development

Donkey Kong - under development

MightyFrog (q-bert) - under development

Legion Force Jedia - under development

Death Tounge (based on the Jaguar doom engine) - under development

Hypertension (same as Death Tounge)

Eerievale (Adventure) - under development

Atari Owls project - under development

Some of these under development have u-tube videos, websites and related topics on AA, I have probably missed a few but that should keep you going for now.

There have also been hardware developemnts such as the Scatbox, a newer version of the Catbox by BattleSphere makers Scatologic and several people have converted JagPads to Rotarty controllers for Tempest 2000 and I think someone made a portable Jaguar.

Note: becasue they are unfinished many of the CD protos and the original run of Painter CDs require a CD Bypass cart to play them because they have not been encrypted. Some have subsequently been encrypted so there are both encryped and unencrypted versions around. IIRC Protector SE has CD bypass built into it so if you like defender you get a game and CD bypass in one.

If you have not done so check out the homebrews topic pinned at the top of the Jaguar forum.

Phase Zero is just on cartridge.

There is also Varunua's Forces on Jag CD, an unfinished Doom like game set in space. Comes on 2 CD's with loads of great video and some gameplay too.

Caves Of Fear and American Hero the 2 Jag CD Gamefilm prototypes. They are both interactive movies and have a fair bit of gameplay there too.

And there is also Gorf on Jaguar CD of course arcade perfect conversion that is no longer available to buy and pretty hard to find especially for a decent price.
