OK, I'm sick of wondering

I was looking through a TV Guide from 1979 when I came across this. I thought Odyssey was in 1973, but this is years later. Plus, it looks to be built in to the TV somehow. Did/does anyone have this, and if so, what is it?

That's not the original Odyssey It's not built in... if you bought a TV you would get one free. Here is a similar one:

Looks like an Odyssey 500 pong type machine. Released in '76

I dont see anything in the ad implying it was built in to the TV.

I've got one of those in the box no less. I've had it for years but have never been able to play it because I have no way to hook it up to my tv. It's a very classic 70s looking piece of machienery, and certainly a good conversation piece. Hopefully I'll get to play it sometime, but I think I can imagine what it would be like.

I guess I was taking the wording in the ad wrong then. So it's an Odyssey 500 machine, released sometime between Odyssey 1 and O^2. Cool. Thanks for quenching my curiosity.
