6502 "Sally", 41464 RAM ICs & a couple of other things

Recommended Posts

Just trying the market here before hitting online shops for my requirements:

I'm after a 6502 for one of my XEGS machines (CO14806 "Sally"). I received a 600XL today and it turned out the CPU was bad so I've lifted the one from this donor machine to get it going. These CPUs are common among all XL/XE and 7800s so any one of those is a suitable donor.

I'll also probably need some 41464 RAM chips to upgrade the 600XL to 64K, as I don't think I have any spare.

Finally, looking for a working NTSC Antic and GTIA pair - looking to convert one of my machines for compatability testing.

Also, can anyone tell me of the other online shops for A8 spares beside Best Electronics? I'm sure there's at least one other but can't remember it's name.

I've got some extra chips. I'll have to test them first to make sure they're all good, but I should be able to give you all the ones you're looking for (including the RAM).

Thanks Jay.

As it happens, I took another look and it seems I do have an ISA videocard with the required RAM chips, although I don't know yet if they're any good, but there's 8 of them so hopefully I'll at least get a good pair... assuming they desolder nicely. Just started earlier and so far not too bad.

Well, I've got 64K in the system and the bottom 16K tests out fine.

I'll probably do the wiring and stuff tomorrow to enable the remainder, then verify the remainder.

Still after the other stuff, though.
