What game was this (not too tough prob)

This game was a side scrolling action fighter game like Rush N Attack and Missing In Action.It starts off with your character a bearded pow

inside a small prison cell in a building and he breaks out through the door with a knife.Then he finds an AK47 but the ammo is very limited.

It must have been near the end of the 80's when this game came out.

"P.O.W." is the only game I can think of that somewhat fits your description. You start in a small cell, but you blow your way out with explosives rather than using a knife.

Yeah, I am almost sure that is P.O.W. (as stated already) Fun game but hasn't aged well, got a chance to play one recently and I think I should have left that one as a memory, same with Bad Dudes

Thanks guys thats definitely the right game I was looking it up on MAME as Prisoner Of War with no luck.
