+SpiceWare #1 Posted May 6, 2010 (edited) During lunch I stopped by at Game Stop today to pre-order new StarCraft 2 and was pleasantly surprised to get a beta key! The 3GB download is in progress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq_5QZDpY1Y Edited May 6, 2010 by SpiceWare
johnon #2 Posted May 6, 2010 I'm still extremely skeptical. Starcraft was, and always will be, my favorite RTS of all time. It's a touchy subject on whether or not they screwed up the epic amounts of balance the classic Starcraft had. Any chance you could tell me what you think after you've played? +SpiceWare #3 Posted May 6, 2010 will do - but remember a key point of them doing the beta is to get the balance right, so if I see something out-of-wack it'll most likely be fixed by the final version. You can see info on the changes in the Patch Notes or Patch Notes Topic. 7 minutes left on the download

Austin #6 Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) I was excited about Starcraft 2 about 5-6 years ago, now I've moved on. I'll get it when it comes out, but I'm not as interested as I once was. Why does Blizzard wait so long between sequels? Likewise with me. I was stoked a year or two ago, but now I've lost interest. The fact that they are releasing the entire game in three separate packs isn't helping to keep my interest, either. On top of that, I seriously doubt I am going to be able to dedicate the same kind of time to this one that I did the original Starcraft. One of the reasons I appreciated and enjoyed the original so much was that I had the time and resources available to learn it inside-out and play it competitively..
