Best few collecting weeks of my life (pic included)

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to share this moment with my Atari brethern.

It took me about 20 years to pick up four R 10s, Pepsi Invaders, Eli's Ladder, Music Machine and BMX Airmaster and due to Tanman's auction (as well as some negotiating and spending) I was able to double my R10s in a short period of time. If Tanman and Wonder did not combine for that historic auction I know at least 3 of these probably would not have happened for me.

I am pretty sure this was a once in a lifetime run and I will be back to grinding it out soon enough.

I would not call paying $15K+ for the lot "such a find". ;)

Well I did not find them in a goodwill box if that is what you mean but if money is all that it would take then I would have more than just eight R10s ;)

In this case it was not about money and more about opportunity.

Does that mean if I throw Monopoly money in the air I will get Hozer boxes in my mailbox?

LOL! I changed my previous post before you posted but your response captures the essence .

 And here's to more finds, and an eventual complete NTSC set ;)

and then the inevitable turning to the PAL dark side.... :D

There are quite a few "NTSC only" collectors that have turned to the "dark side" but are keeping quiet for fear that they will drive up prices ;)
