SMS power supply with a Sega Genesis

So I have a fully functioning SMS, and I love it. I'm possibly going to buy a Sega Genesis model 1 - 1601, but it doesn't have a power supply with it. Can I use the Power Supply from my SMS with this Genesis, or do I need to get a Genesis one?

 

It's been way too long since I've owned one to remember.

The Genesis I and SMS are interchangeable in terms of power supply and AV output, so you're golden. The Genesis 2/3 uses a different one, though.
