Black box for Atlantis...

Just curious how many of you out there have the black box for Atlantis. I've got the other two, but I never seem to see the Atlantis one for sale, even though the blue cart shows up pretty often.

the black boxes were made for the blue label variations. i suppose there must be more titles ....

Never knew a black boxed Atlantis even existed just for the sake of the later release blue label even! Surprised they kept so much of the original artwork intact and only changed from silver to black. That Imagic/Activision thing in the late 80's sure was weird.

I wouldn't recommend it, two people constantly plugging products in every thread is probably not a good idea. One person constantly talking about the same thing over and over and over again is more than enough.

I always liked the look of the black boxes, but should a person stick them with on the shelf with your Imagic boxes or Activision boxes???

You're not stupid at all. It just means that you have some sanity left.

 

If you're not a collector (you just like playing games), consider yourself lucky. It is the collector's continuous obsession with acquiring every last f***ing variation that eventually turns them bat-guano crazy.

 

If you fancy yourself a collector, stop! It's not too late. Turn around while you still have some of your sanity left! Heed my warning; by the time you realize you've gone too far, it'll be too late. There is no re-ascending that Dark Slide.

Well, it was a regular silver box, but it had this annoying "Atlantis II" sticker on it, so I ripped that off and paid some kid an ice cream cone to color the silver up with a black crayon.
