pinball22 #1 Posted May 12, 2010 Just curious how many of you out there have the black box for Atlantis. I've got the other two, but I never seem to see the Atlantis one for sale, even though the blue cart shows up pretty often.

Cebus Capucinis #15 Posted May 13, 2010 :o HOW DARE YOU RUIN SUCH A VITAL PIECE OF GAMING HISTORY YOU ARE THE LOWEST SCUM OF THE EARTH PEOPLE WHO DESTROY VIDEO GAMES ARE JUST SLIGHTLY ABOVE THOSE WHO ABUSE ANIMALS IN MY BOOK AND HOW DARE YOU DO THAT, YOU ARE HEADED TO THE THIRD CIRCLE OF HELL FOR THIS I SWEAR ....oh sorry have been reading a few "Lamp Protestor" PMs.... +save2600 #16 Posted May 13, 2010 Never knew a black boxed Atlantis even existed just for the sake of the later release blue label even! Surprised they kept so much of the original artwork intact and only changed from silver to black. That Imagic/Activision thing in the late 80's sure was weird. Cebus Capucinis #19 Posted May 14, 2010 I wouldn't recommend it, two people constantly plugging products in every thread is probably not a good idea. One person constantly talking about the same thing over and over and over again is more than enough. Say, have you heard about my Galaxian record? (If anyone takes anything from that I'm done plugging lamps. )
+Omegamatrix #20 Posted May 14, 2010 I always liked the look of the black boxes, but should a person stick them with on the shelf with your Imagic boxes or Activision boxes??? I got both Moonsweeper and Demon Attack, but no Atlantis... Haven't really looked for it though.
tetrode kink #21 Posted May 14, 2010 Raises hand........ I must be the stupid one here since I don't know what a black box Atlantis looks like in the first place. You're not stupid at all. It just means that you have some sanity left. If you're not a collector (you just like playing games), consider yourself lucky. It is the collector's continuous obsession with acquiring every last f***ing variation that eventually turns them bat-guano crazy. If you fancy yourself a collector, stop! It's not too late. Turn around while you still have some of your sanity left! Heed my warning; by the time you realize you've gone too far, it'll be too late. There is no re-ascending that Dark Slide. -tet

jahfish #24 Posted May 14, 2010 (edited) such a small picture ... is that the offset print version or the limited rare marker version? Edited May 14, 2010 by jahfish
Zwackery #25 Posted May 14, 2010 such a small picture ... is that the offset print version or the limited rare marker version? Well, it was a regular silver box, but it had this annoying "Atlantis II" sticker on it, so I ripped that off and paid some kid an ice cream cone to color the silver up with a black crayon.
