S1500 #26 Posted May 14, 2010 Raises hand........ I must be the stupid one here since I don't know what a black box Atlantis looks like in the first place. You're not stupid at all. It just means that you have some sanity left. If you're not a collector (you just like playing games), consider yourself lucky. It is the collector's continuous obsession with acquiring every last f***ing variation that eventually turns them bat-guano crazy. If you fancy yourself a collector, stop! It's not too late. Turn around while you still have some of your sanity left! Heed my warning; by the time you realize you've gone too far, it'll be too late. There is no re-ascending that Dark Slide. -tet You see, this is why I was one of the few amused ones in the "Smash a rare Atari 2600 game" thread. Really. Has video game collecting gone so far in the granularity where people do in fact go nuts over OMG I HAVE A LABEL VARIATION ON 2600 SPACE INVADERS [email protected]#! IMA SELLIN' IT ON [email protected]# I like classic video games, but not as much as to take out a loan for some slight object variation. Nor would I put it on eBay(since I wouldn't have it). jahfish #27 Posted May 14, 2010 Well, it was a regular silver box, but it had this annoying "Atlantis II" sticker on it, so I ripped that off and paid some kid an ice cream cone to color the silver up with a black crayon. i remember that stupid sticker on my box as well ... i also threw away the game cause it wasn't fun and i was hardly making any points when i played it. Crazy Climber #28 Posted May 14, 2010 I always liked the look of the black boxes, but should a person stick them with on the shelf with your Imagic boxes or Activision boxes??? That's easy. You start with your Silver Imagic games. Then next put your Black Box games. Then follow with your Activision games. That way there is No escape for your Black Box that is samwiched in between a Firefighter and Pitfall Harry
Zwackery #29 Posted May 14, 2010 I always liked the look of the black boxes, but should a person stick them with on the shelf with your Imagic boxes or Activision boxes??? I have them with my Imagic boxes, but at the end of the run, so it goes: silver spine Imagic, red spine Imagic (Fathom, Moonsweeper, No Escape, Solar Storm), black box Imagic (Atlantis, Demon Attack, Moonsweeper). pinball22 #33 Posted June 2, 2010 Wow, a bunch of good stuff in that lot... besides the black Demon Attack, there's QfQR, all those Telegames, sealed Kung-Fu Master, Skate Boardin' and Titlematch... $34 was a total steal.

It's a great deal. Let me know what the copyrights are on the pacman boxes. Looks like the Grand Prix might be a blue label too.
