gharmon #1 Posted May 14, 2010 I picked up a nice 1040ST last night and of course it had no manuals. Does anyone have extra manuals or pdf files. Feel free to email me at [email protected] Thanks.
Sub(Function(:)) #2 Posted May 14, 2010 I think remowilliams has pdf'ed the Falcon manual but not the ST manual yet. you way want to search his post to check. However see my other post to you about your 1050 diagnostic disc the MyAtari site has in its ST section the "BKS034 520/1040ST OWNERS MANUAL 10.00". Be warned the manuals for the ST and STe computers were not that useful. They tend to be at the level "this is a mouse, if you push it away from you the mouse goes up the screen...". if you spend money you may not be very happy
Rybags #3 Posted May 14, 2010 I wish people would not just register and ask a question and expect an answer by email. Not only is it incredibly rude, but it can also mean that anyone interested in the same thing could miss out.
Sub(Function(:)) #4 Posted May 14, 2010 (edited) Especially as you can ask for email notifications when some one posts a reply to your post Edited May 14, 2010 by Sub(Function(:))
gharmon #5 Posted May 14, 2010 I wish people would not just register and ask a question and expect an answer by email. Not only is it incredibly rude, but it can also mean that anyone interested in the same thing could miss out. I certainly didn't mean to be rude as that is not my nature. As the moderator of many Yahoo Groups and member of 20+ other lists (primarily related to HAM radio) I understand the need to share information. Please excuse my apology. I suspect most folks will post their answer to the forum regardless but if I get any directly, I will post the answers.
tjlazer #6 Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Here is the 520ST Manual in PDF: http://www.classiccmp.org/dunfield/atarist/index.htm Various other manuals: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=15391&p=138251#p138160 Edited May 15, 2010 by tjlazer
Sub(Function(:)) #7 Posted May 16, 2010 Here is the 520ST Manual in PDF: http://www.classiccm...arist/index.htm Various other manuals: http://www.atari-for...=138251#p138160 The second link has a list of files that were stored on rapidshare. These links are now dead because no one accessed them in a long time. On the second page of the thread the files were apparently uploaded to My linkAtari Documentation Archive. So this might be a better answer to the original poster Look in owners manuals and look at the 520ST owners manual, the 1040 was just the same only more memory.
