Christmas season and the AA store

Recommended Posts

Christmas time is around the corner and RangerG is thinking about presents (for himself that is) :) He really likes some of the 5200 reproduction carts available at the AtariAge store. He sees other things that are available other places around the web, but if buying from the AA store shows his appreciation to all the moderators and in general to AtariAge then he wants to do it. AtariAge has never hit him up for money like a few other boards he has posted on before. What do you all think? Does AA get a decent % of profit from sales; does it help support the boards? What should Ranger do?

I've bought multiple carts and storage bags for myself. They are very fast and professional. I think the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the amount of time and effort to make and ship the items. They get two thumbs up from me

I bought from them in person in Vegas, and bought from them online via the website. Each time, my transaction lead to pure satisfaction. You can't go wrong with Al and Al!

I totally back the Al's. They run the classiest joint in town. I plan on spending a great deal of money in the store in the coming months. :)

As everyone mentioned the store here rocks! My only problem is whether to wait a month or so to see what cool stuff they get in the store or to order the carts I want now (I got my eye on that 5200 Super Pac :) )

I don't think Albert has mentioned how much the store does or doesn't support AA but I hope it's profitable for them and I'll be ordering again soon.

If I was everyone... I would wait :-)

Can't say why yet, but save your money and you will be happy with what the AtariAge store brings you :-)

I haven't bought anything from the store thus yet...but I hear it's a great way to contribute to the Al's for AA. I've donated several times thru PayPal, although it's probably hard to tell :)

So are we getting a new upgraded store?? What's the secret...c'mon!!!

:? :?

Yes, it's coming very soon. I talk about it a bit in this thread, with a few more details:

Thread: Atariage Store Lookin' Good!

As to questions about whether we profit from the store, it'll be some time before we break even from all the money we've poured into the site (and continue to pour) and other activities (such as attending classic gaming expos), but it definitely does help! And we much prefer this avenue versus more intrusive means of raising money, such as by plastering ads all over the site, or by coming up with some kind of subscription system.

We have lots of other cool products to showcase down the road, from homebrew games to unique hardware, as well as many other interesting classic gaming items. Thanks to everyone who's purchased something in our store, we appreciate it! :)

The new store format sounds great. I have my eye on several items and will be purchasing them when the new store opens. Any date set?

We're shooting for November 25th. With any luck it'll be even sooner. :)

If store sales help AA, that's where I'll shop first for my gaming needs. I haven't bought much from AA, but each time I have has been a great online purchase. The items ship fast and unlike Ebay, you get a great deal on shipping.

And a bit off topic - but I'm continually amazed at how cool this site is and what a great job the Als have done.
