Game based on my stick figure character.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I want someone to program a game based on a stick figure character I made. Why? I'd just enjoy seeing this guy running around in a videogame world. But I do have some requirements first.

1. He must have a gun of some sort

2. There has to be an arctic, city and carnival level.

3. Put this on any system that can display a good, solid sprite of him.

4. I don't truly care about music, but if this is on the Genesis, please use songs from Mick and Mack as the Global Gladiators.(No true reason, that music just kicks ass.)

5. I don't want any money, but please give me credit for character design.

6. The game has to be called StickWorld.

7.Please post a video on YouTube for it, I actually don't have any retro consoles. Just send a message to me notifying that the video is done.

8. I really don't care about which console it is, but the sprite's details have to be clear.

9. Sell this if you want, at least save me a copy please.

10. As for enemies, they can be animals or other stick figures, whatever.

11. Feel free to hack an existing game.

12. Please make this the best you can.

Photos are coming soon when I can scan them in.

Why not learn to program yourself? You aren't going to get anywhere if you just beg here on the forum.

(quickly steals the game concept)

I can do the game after I finish Dirt Gherkin.

I just need somebody to code a game display kernel, movement, sound, collision, scoring, and console AI routines so that I can hack them. Programming credit goes to me.

I wouldn't call this a well thought out idea at all. You didn't give a backstory, you didn't give any pictures, you weren't clear on what weapon he/she/it has; hell, you didn't even give the name of the character, let alone what console this game is supposed to be on. I also don't like the fact that you wanted credit for the character design. What was there to design? All it is is a stick figure with a gun, with no backstory to boot.

Obligatory requester response:-

That said, a good, well-thought out, well-presented idea is worth looking at, always.

 Oh dear! You'll go far with with your game pitch.

Backstory? Chris, the stickman learns about his evil twin Klaus' plot to take over the world via a giant, evil satellite, so he goes to stop him. Character design? Didn't I mention I would scan in a picture of him? :( And as for console, I'd like the Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo, or even Atari Jaguar. Anything goes. :| And pictures, I'm getting them.

Your backstory is quite disgusting. I stopped reading after seeing the evil twin brother cliche.

No need to. I'll just hack Dirt to look like a stick figure. Should be ready in 20 years or so. Dirt's taking longer than the marketing department figured on.

Yep, just like how I want to get a girlfriend, but I know that will never happen.

Actually, y'know what? Forget I even said this, I'm probably never posting here again until I actually learn how to program. :|

Then you'd better do a game design that's much less vague and more than 12 sentences long. Given that to make your game a programmer will have to spend 100s of hours coding and testing. Why should "we" invest that time in your idea when quite clearly you don't want to invest an equal measure of time in the concept, design, graphics, sound etc.

This has my vote for funniest post of the year :lust:

I'll be sharing with all my friends at work tomorrow so they can vote it up too.
